It's excellent for that. The main hops patch came about when I enclosed one
of the strawberry patches with a 5' field fence. At the corners, instead of
putting in a 6' post, I put in a 16' post and planted hops in each corner. It
partially shades the strawberries which imporves them. The hops is six
inches
tall now, it will be 10' tall by mid may. </HTML>
