Is it dry where you are, Jeanne? It's so humid here my garlic gets moldy, and I usually use it pretty quick, my kid eats salsa like ketchup. I'd love to be able to keep a braid or two or three handy. My family will never be attacked by vampires. And we can only kiss each other so it all works out. ; )

James,
I did not see any mention of hanging the garlic to dry, and checking it for mold, etc. It cost me 10 for a braid, which I can hang on a hook in the kitchen, where it will last for an entire winter, except that I eat it to quickly. Knowing all the work that goes into those wonderours bulbs I am happy to pay. Most of the garlic is all sorts of sizes and are usually about 4 for a dollar direct from the farmer.
Love my farmer friends!
