One truism of woodworking is that you never have enough clamps. I have C clamps, bar clamps, spring clamps, quick clamps, home made clamps, and I still run out. One very handy clamp for lighter pieces is a section of 4"PVC with a cut along one side. You have to come up with a way to open them but they do work well.
