Then I'll leave them in the boxes for now. I have around 120 clamps in three
sizes 1", 4", and 5" with a few larger and a few much larger. I tried the
overhead rack but when a few of those big clamps nearly missed my head,
didn't
miss my toe, and far worse, nearly fell on the work piece, I took them all
down. I tried the bench level bar but they needed to be closed on the bar
and
that was too much trouble. So it was wooden crates for them.
The clamping I do over and over is now accomplished by some shop made clamps
using a long carriage bolt, wing nut, and jaws which are a modification of
violin maker's clamps. </HTML>
