Also learn to identify the Jewel Weed. It's easy to identify when it's in
bloom, but right now it is a small seedling with round seed leaves growing in
wet or swampy ground. It will stop the effects of poison ivy on your skin
immediately. The sooner you apply it after exposure, the more effective it
is.
You can also squash some up into an ice cube tray, freeze it, and apply it as
needed (if you have that capacity on the road).
