Battery operated drill

I have become a real fan of cordless tools. I use the cordless circular saw much more often than the corded one.Not having to string a power cord around is a real advantage. I also have a cordless jig saw, reciprocating saw, and router. All but the router have proven to be very handy. The router seems like a good idea but it eats batteries faster than they can be recharged.

Having two cordless drills is very handy. When setting screws one has the driver bit and the other has the countersink or centering bit. At times it is also a good way to stay ahead on batteries.

Buy the best quality you can afford. Buying a cheap tool twice is no savings and the quality of work will improve with better quality tools. My cordless tools are about evenly split between Bosch and Porter Cable.
