I learn something every day - bronze screen ...

I wondered how you manage to stay calm and unruffled .... <g>

Thanks again, Gene, now that I've 'done my
homework' - I did a fuzzier search on his name,
which came up with 8,000 + entries, and worked
through the first 100 + - discovering a lotta
other stuff about him, his peers, and antecedents -
and other subjects where he was mentioned,
including the diaries of Ayn Rand (The Fountainhead -
made into a movie) (and Atlas Shrugged - how *did*
she know back then that today we'd have the
clowns and criminals that we do in
U.S. government positions of power ????).

I may have forwarded this before, but I just
got my issue of the newsletter and thought
there was some 'good stuff' in it - they are
celebrating 25 years on TV and doing the
"do you remember" thing somewhat .... click
on the first link on this page for what was
posted today at their Website :

In a message dated 10/20/2004 10:48:14 AM Central Standard Time,
lurine AT softcom.net writes:

Ray, Mohammed was a Christian that left the teachings because he was not
happy with the turn they were taking. Even basic grammar school history
books have that info in them.

The whole virgins in heaven thing is taken from the christian mythology, for
heavens sake (pun intended <g>).

Mohammed being a christian is a concept I have never even heard of, and I
consider myself at least a moderately well versed student of history. I
will
research that topic, and would appreciate any verifiable references you, or
any others, can supply regarding this.

Also, any biblical references to virgins in heaven being the reward for
killing others would be new to me. References, please?

Ray
