Hello

I will be helping take care of a friend's garden while she is away. She has introduced ladybugs and they are settling in to a good meal of aphids on her roses. Unfortunately, they are not the easy care varieties and some have some mildew and blackspot. I said I would spray with a solution of baking soda.

Does anyone know if such a solution will be toxic to the ladybugs or any other form of life except the fungus? I'll remove all of the infected leaves beforehand.

Thanks

Anna
