I just meant that the first research in mycorrhizal fungi was done in forestry research, so that's where the largest body of literature is.  It has expanded to many other areas since then, but forestry is still where the first real work was done.  The forestry literature goes back 40 years or more.

Lon, while I will check the literature, isn¹t it fair to assume if fungi can do something to the soil in the forest, they can do the same thing in the home landscape if the conditions and resources were the same?
