I believe the young man in Mark 14.51 illustrates how excited the crowd had
become. They had become so so frenzied that they would seize anyone who even
~appeared~ to be a follower of Jesus. The young man escapes only because he
is wearing a toga-likegarment. When they grap him, it is left in their hands
as he turns and runs.
