What ASE on Linux server are you on Gad (sorry, forgotten). Michaels
suggestions are sound and will make a huge difference. Async IO might
be another biggie. Has any other tweaking been done to either the NT or
the Linux boxes?

Have (who ported ASE to Linux) reads the ASE Linux list. If there is a
serious problem he is certain to want to know about it. I too have lost
track of the thread, so again cannot remember. Are we saying that the
performance decrease is independent of which set of libraries are used?
If I am muddying already dirty waters, sorry.
