I promised my students that I would recommend them some patristic
commentaries on Galatians, but am struggling to get beyond Chrysostom and
Pelagius (in ET). Any suggestions?

Peter

Peter,
These are dissertations that might be useful:

Daniel Rodney Bechtel (no. 6413177 UMI), The Exegesis of Galatians 2:14-21 by the Early Greek Fathers and the Major Recent Commentators.

W. B. West, Jr. Ante-Nicene Exegesis of Romans and Galatians. (not available at UMI)

I have found the translation of the correspondence between Jerome and Augustine helpful that is in:
Trigg, Joseph W. 1988. "Augustine/Jerome, Correspondence." Biblical Interpretation. Joseph W. Trigg. Message of the Fathers of the Church: Vol. 9. Wilmington, Delaware: Michael Glazier. Pp. 250-95.

Regards,
Mark Nanos

I see now that you have gathered a great deal of data, so perhaps this late post is now of little value (just trying to catch-up on a couple of weeks of posts). I would like to get a copy of the bibliography you have compiled off-list (nanos AT gvi.net). Thanks
