Somebody earlier posted that in John 20:26 the meeting with Jesus and the
disciples is eight days after the first meeting and thus on a Monday. I
checked that point at the library, and it is apparently incorrect. Here are
two evaluations. The first is by Leon Morris, The Gospel According to John,
in NICNT, p. 852:

"Eight days" according to the inclusive method of counting signifies a
week. This incident then is dated on the Sunday evening after the first
Easter Day."

The second quote explains inclusive counting and is by George
Beasley-Murray, John, in the Word Commentary, p. 385:

"After eight days" the Lord appears in the same manner as before, or on the
"eighth" day, i.e. the following Sunday (this according to the Jewish mode
of reckoning, counting the first and last days in a period).

Yours,
Harold Holmyard
