I'll copy what I wrote on the other thread to this one...

I'm the culprit who wrote that column. Figured I'd head off the
barrage of emails (I'm at 3 so far) by just posting here myself.

To clarify, which I should have done better in the column itself, I
have nothing against Chapel Hill. I love Chapel Hill! I would actually
like to move there so I can save on all the gas I use going to shows!
At the Cary News we are encouraged to keep our focus incredibly local.
I was referring to the Cary scene, and bits of Raleigh, with that
remark. Should I have made that more clear? Oh yeah.

I'll also take this opportunity to point you to the music blog I co-
edit, Triangle Music. (http://trianglemusic.blogspot.com) Check it
out, tell me what sucks about it, and let me know what you guys, who
are obviously passionate about and interested in the local scene, want
to read about.

Feel free to email me at valeriemarino AT gmail.com. I would genuinely
like to hear what you think.

And, for what it's worth, The Scene is a relatively new feature that
only started running once a month in The Cary News earlier this year.
I did a feature on Dunn in the Feb. 7 issue and wanted to interject
some of my own opinion and toss in a mention of my buddies from Will
Hoge's band, so that's why there's such a high concentration of
articles on him. (And I'm not from Nashville, just happen to have a
few friends there.)
