dude, i knew there was a reason i pointed my cow-orker
at the IWTDI cd yesterday when he wanted to buy a
local music gift for a friend.

i just find it, idunno, hard to comprehend that a
whole big crowd of us, some of whom probably had a
hard time talking to each other in real life, could go
on for 73 emails in just one thread about local music.
did any of us have jobs?

i'm going to have one of those milestone birthdays of
dread this year. the kind where i never imagined, not
being that old, but how it would *feel* to be that
old. i don't know how to feel this old. isn't there
supposed to be some grady gene which stops expressing
itself and then nothing is fun anymore? i mean, all my
other genes have apparently turned themselves off
except the one that's supposed to tell me nothing is
fun anymore. what's up with that? anyway, it's kind of
embarrassing to be this old and still get thrills from
indie rock. i know it looks plenty retarded to be
pushing my way up front to bob my head at this age. i
should be at home telling kids to get the hell off my
lawn.

anyway, like ruby said, "thank you, ross, very much."

and god bless us everyone.
