Well, since CC is getting more and more prominent in the Free Software community it is vital to have it compatible with Free Software. Otherwise it would do more harm than good in that area. So, to keep the rethoric:
CC *must* become free and must *not* keep barriers like forced attribution or a not very well verbalized DRM clause.

errata: insert "ought to" and "should not" where appropriate.


As another poster pointed out far more eloquently than I could, the no-DRM clause is important for the future success of CC licensing, however much it may affect its immediate popularity with those who would wish to abuse it. The no-DRM clause *must* stay, and must *not* be rendered ineffective by anything that would allow it to be circumvented in practice.
