ZC: I understand your point exactly, Bryan, and I tend to agree that a
commercial option shouldn't be ruled out. Fortunately, if I understand it
correctly, CC non-commercial lets us have our cake and eat it too. It allows
us
to permit non-commercial use up front and thereby contribute to the commons
and
the academic community, but if a private sector interest wants to use our
creation, we are still protected by copyright. They can then seek our
permission for commercial use, which, I imagine, would include remuneration
of
some kind.
