You can also boot with a DOS boot floppy and use the DOS
format command (at some point it will tell you to put in
the disk to be formatted). There are DOS bootdisk images
online that you can copy to a known-good floppy disk using
dd if=floppy.img of=/dev/fd0 (is this correct?).
