Which is the clearest way to get Opera to work in BL3.5?
Accrd'ing to the official BL3 page 'How to Install Opera on BL3',
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/baslinux/opera.html
one specifically NEEDS glibc-solibs-2.3.1-i386-3.tgz and the Opera 8
static-QT package
The directions and Opera download link provided at this page
(http://www.opera.zom/download/) only yield Opera versions 9.10
through 9.50B..... no remaining opera 8 versions!

OTOH, Steven provided several Opera 8.52 download sites in his June
6th posting 'Opera 8.52' at
https://lists.ibiblio.org/sympa/arc/baslinux/2007-June/013730.html.
Less than three hours after this, Steven posted 'Opera 9.21 works on
BL3.50' at https://lists.ibiblio.org/sympa/arc/baslinux/2007-June/013731.html
Steven's conclusion of this latter Opera posting was
--- quote---
So the instructions for installing Opera at
the BasicLinux site still work. There is
no issue with BasicLinux 3.50, there is no
issue with jwm, and (surprisingly) there is
no issue with the latest-and-greatest version
of Opera.
------
Accrd'ingly, the way to go with this is to download and run Opera 9.21
using glibc-solibs-2.3.1-i386-3.tgz as the current instructions at the
'How to Install Opera on BL3' page recommend.

The confusion here is that Sindi posted at
http://keesan.freeshell.org/bl/blfiles.htm that " OPERA 7.23 or 8.52
(or probably also 8.54) or 9.2X NEEDS glibc 2.2.5 " along with the
contents of Sindi's 1.2MB package for glibc 2.2.5, oper8lib.tgz
So which does Opera 9.21 really NEED?? the default BL3-recommended
glibc 2.3.1 -or- glibc 2.2.5 with Sindi's other specified packages??

Confused on this, so TY again for any good clarification.
