For your information, Czerno, cert.pem is a file that contains some kind of security information needed to access registered secure sites (I believe). I don't understand this very well, but I think you may need that file in order for the ssl-capable lynx to work at many secure sites. Is this correct, Sindi?

You need libresolv and libdns from libc to use lynx online (or the IP
number instead of the name of the site). They do not show up as
dependencies with ldd. I should put a note about that. I used the glibc
ones. If you install the complete glibc (part of which is needed by
Opera) they will be in there.

Let's remember that Czerno is using the loop file version of BL, which should run out of space fairly quickly once he starts adding extra stuff. Be aware, Czerno, that the file system you're using has only about 20MB of space on it. If you plan on adding much of anything in the way of programs or storing any files, you should either add some extra space by making a new loop file (see directions in the archive for making a 50MB one), or just do an install to hard disk (may involve repartitioning your hard drive, risking some data loss).

Finally, be prepared to find writing e-mails in lynx on yahoo somewhat disorienting. It can be done (at least last time I tried it 4 or 5 years ago it could). But it's quite quirky. It will take some patience to figure out the proper procedure and a bit more to write e-mails that way on a regular basis. Anyway, I look forward to finding out how it works for you.

James
