On the other hand, is it even worth considering using a newer (say
2.4.x) kernel with BL3 ? Such as one of those Sindi has been making ?
Or would I simply break my installation of BL3 ?
I use my 2.4.31 kernels with BL3 in all computers with USB ports.
There is a CONFIG_FORCEDETH to compile forcedeth.o
nForce Ethernet EXPERIMENTAL
You can install kernel source code, copy over my confsmf.431 file to .config in /usr/src/linux, type make config and answer Enter to all questions except M to CONFIG_FORCEDETH, make dep, then make, then make modules, but there should be some way to make a single module.
Sindi
