Which makes your $57 version of Running Linux about US$45. I could buy
two 700MHz computers with 256MB RAM and PC-Linux in 6GB from a local store
for $50. They have had them for a year, no buyers. Circa 2000.

That's very nice for you, Sindi!

I can't get bargains like that here. So there's no point in crowing
about it.

Was I crowing? I thought I was commenting on the fact that a good recent used computer book costs more than a good used computer. I used to volunteer some place that was asking $50 for a used IBM PS/2 386 that cost $5000 new even without any hard drives. A year later we were giving them away to people who wanted four to hold up the corners of their beds.

What is the going price on a 7 year old 500Mhz computer where you live? In my college town people are throwing them out. Steven has now provided a P2 kernel for BL3 and people are giving us P3's. Our newest working computer is only 6 years old.
