The foundation compiler packages from Slackware 4.0
----------------------------------
pkg binutils.tgz ## 1.6 mb
pkg egcs.tgz ## 2.8 mb
pkg gmake.tgz ## .2 mb
pkg libc.tgz ## 1.1 mb
pkg linuxinc.tgz ## 1.5 mb
----------------------------------
Those are the package sizes. They will be larger when
unzipped. If you are just compiling a new kernel, you
do not need libc.tgz and linuxinc.tgz.

The compiler packages will fit into 20 mb. Sourcecode
packages can take a lot of space (kernels and X are
probably the worst), but you can always delete the
sourcecode after you have compiled.
