Addendum: yes, BL3.32 RAMDISK version also works properly! Thus, what is
the difference between BL3 and SW10 on the one side, and BL2 on the other?

Downloaded a new one. No luck. Moreover, my CD-rom RAMDISK version works
fine on at least three other computers, but not on this one. Nomdo
