setserial is also used to to set a com port to a
nonstandard IRQ. This is often done for ISA modems.

Plug-n-play modems? Jumpered modems? Or the comport itself (with external modem)?

56544 Dec 1 2002 ./usr/bin/less
2293 Jul 21 2000 ./usr/bin/lesspipe.sh

What does this do?

Pager (similar to more, but with more functionality).
Optional.

I know what 'less' does - is lesspipe an offshoot of it?
