What new features are being planned?

2.2.26 kernel and modules
IDE module for PCMCIA (cardmgr now finds CF)

We have a 486 laptop with 12MB and an 8MB PCMCIA memory card.

Can you also put memory_cs in config (remarked out?), even if the module won't fit on the disk?

Also some other more common PCMCIA ethernet cards in config. I posted the info for mine, a 10MBit card.

Besides kernel 2.2.26 (with sound and usb support)
what are you adding or subtracting?

To make room for the slighly larger kernel and the
new IDE module, I removed the plip module (although
it can still be used as an add-on). I also deleted
some little-used /dev

Please add the /dev for 720K floppy disk support.
I can still get lots of them free.

To use the PCMCIA adaptor for CF memory card I needed another /dev - hde1 or maybe it was hde4. I don't know why the card was hde when the laptop had only one hard drive (hda).

Can you provide at least an additional (add-on) scsi kernel for 2.2.26 with support for scsi boot and zip drives (scsi_mod and sd_mod built in) and support for sg and sr as modules (for use with scanners and even IDE CD-burners)? This does not have to fit on the 2-floppy version. David's 2.4.31 includes this.

Also /dev/sr0. That is how sr_mod detects my CD burners.
Or a symlink to sga or scd0 or something.

I have not, that I know of, ever used sbpcd* spx scd0 ttyS4 vcs0-4
vcsa0-4, does anyone else use them?

Cheers,
Steven
