Just a guess here: BL2 does not come with the full bash installed.
Instead, it uses busybox, a trimmed-down bash created, I think, for Linux
install routines and such. Perhaps because the full bash is not installed
there is no manpage for it on the system? Steven perhaps overlooked this
minor detail :) . I'd get his input before installing the full bash.
Linux manpages are online, btw. In hotlist.html (the startpage Steven
created for Links browser under BL2) there is a link to the Linux manpages
online. You could download the bash manpage to your local machine so that
it would always be available to you, whether you're on the 'net or not,
should you decide not to install the full bash with its manpage (I guess
you'd have to read it with Links rather than more or whatever the man
command uses as a text reader). On a side note: a contributor to this
list earlier suggested downloading manpages as html files from the 'net
(apparently they are available as a bulk download) and using Links to view
them.
