Hey, Gilles;
On my 486 I boot to BL by using a 10Meg DOS partition.
I used sys.com to install the DOS system files, then
there's just an autoexec.bat with,
--------------------------------------------
@echo off
loadlin zimage root=/dev/hda2 ro
--------------------------------------------
This makes it appear to boot straight to BL. I use
lilo on my Slackware box, but like Steven I very
highly recommend loadlin as it works quite solid.
As I have used computers for only a couple of years,
I had a much easier time with loadlin.
