According to man mount, 'user' allows any user to mount and the same user to unmount. 'users' allows any user to mount and any user to unmount. (This bit seems to be missing in the Spanish translation; I don't know about other versions). But it makes no difference. I've tried both and I always get the reply 'must be superuser to use mount'.
