It's a mystery to me why more script writers have not offered a default
single user mode such as dos and windoz users are used to, with default
access to all drives and shutdown. You would think, looking at the
frequency of all the posts on all the Linux lists about problems with
shutdown, boot up, 'permissions' and FD/CD/win/dos drive access....
