My understanding (I have not seen it in Hebrew) is that this is from the
irregularly conjugated verb YHB, which in Biblical Hebrew meant to hand
over, deliver. I understand this as possibly a qal imperative first person
plural, which would have the emphasis “Let us deliver…”, but seeing as this
is modern, not Biblical, Hebrew, I am not sure.
