1. I agree with you that AD-OLAM is 'forever', still, ELEM is a 'young adult'.
2. Adultery is not a Hebrew word.
3. I think that the component EL in ELEM is related to Strong's 5924 and 5925. It is also related to EIYAL ( איל ), 'strength, superiority', as in Ps. 88:5, and also to (UL ( עול ), 'young', as in Is. 65:20.
4. Strong's 5956 is 'cover, heap-over, pile-over, grow-over, surmount'.

Hello Isaac:
Thanks for your comments.
For me anyhow, "the proof is in the pudding."
I hence, invite your reading of 1 chronicles 23:13; and numbers 5:13. How do you read the relevant portions of these verses?
a. "to bless in name of him to young adult?" and
b. adultery "is young adult from eyes of her husband"?
It doesn't sound sensible or reasonable to me.
Perhaps your strong's numbers 5958, 5959 derive from the root 5921; and strong's 5956 represents a separate root entirely?

fred burlingame.

As I have already observed the word OLAM ( עולם ) is of the root (LM ( עלם ), which certainly can not mean 'hidden, secrete, conceal'. To wit: this is also the root of ELEM and ALMAH ( עלם, עלמה ), 'young adults', which are not hidden, and have nothing to hide.

Applying the rabbi's rule to the phrase at hand: i read it to mean: "until
