Dear All,

While we do realize that there are many passages in the Tanakh which many people over the ages have understood to refer to the future Messiah, and that while some people (whether or not they label themselves as "Christians" or as "Jews") believe that that Messiah has already arrived, this list is not the place to discuss this issue. The thread on Gen. 2:17 has long ago ceased being about language, and as such is hereby CLOSED.

The man-g*d "Jesus" is anot a historical figure and is a far different idol than the very Jewish Y'shua who not only declared the permanence of Torah but lived it flawlessly as a model for all. The idol condones eating swine, no Sabbath, no Feast/Festivals of Hashem, and even tolerates fossilized pagan customs in that "church" which are nowhere present in the kehillah or kahal haElohiym. It's well worth your attention. Y'shua was the promised Messiah.

Shalom!

Gal. 27-29: For as many as have had a tevilah into Moshiach have clothed yourselves with Moshiach. There is not Yehudi nor Yevani (Greek), there is not eved (servant) nor ben chorin (freedman), there is not zachar (male) nor nekevah (female), for you are all echad in Moshiach Yehoshua/Yeshua. And, if you belong to Moshiach (YESHAYAH 53:10), then you are of the ZERAH of Avraham Avinu, you are yoreshim (heirs) according to the havtachah (promise).

But many of the followers of Jesus do say that he cancelled our
Covenant with G-d - or replaced it, which is the same thing,
especially since G-d didn't say that. If you say that Jesus supports
and expands G-d's covenant with us, then why doesn't Jesus say, or
Christians practice, to observe our Covenant, in its entirety, and
then if you want to add, then add? Or otherwise, if you choose not
to observe it, but to do other things, then just admit that you have
composed something changed, new and different and "other"?

Shoshanna
