I dont think its asking too much to do what dkowis is requesting. The menu
is hardly intuitive as it is if I want to just my existing kernel tree,
it just gets in the way. Maybe this just comes from a misunderstanding
of how the menu works which would be a problem in-it-of-itself.

To me, having a flag to just skip all the patching stuff in the linux
spell doesnt qualify as bloat (its avoiding the bloat!)


So your thinking more of a question before the menu system that would 'skip out' of the menu system and just use /usr/src/linux?
