I downloaded and checked out pdftops. I unzipped on my DOS computer, and
put the binary and half a dozen sample .pdf files on a 1.44 floppy disk,
copied the binary to /bin, ran it from /mnt (floppy disk) which made .ps
files on the floppy disk, and use psview to view them in DOS and they look
just like the files produced by the DOS version of pdftops so this binary
works perfectly. I have asked Doug what directories to use for the .hlp,
.1, .cat, README, a COPYING files that go with this and I will make a
slackware package of pdftops. The binary is about 950K, even larger than
pdftotext. It compresses to about half size.

I will do something similar with pdfimages since I don't have a pbm/pnm
viewer on my Linux computer or space to install one. I am now down from
6M to 5M free hard drive.

All three of these programs share the README and COPYING files but they
are smallish. Should I make one slackware package from all of them, or one
with pdftext and pdfimages and another with pdftops, or three packages?
About 400K each in .zip form, under 1.5M total for a single .tgz package.
