On detach(), i.e. detach(true);
Seems quite sensible to me.

The problem I have with this is you don't know what "true" means. Without
reading the javadocs it could be interpreted as "detach node? yes!".
Also detach() isn't the only way to remove a node from it's parent, i.e.
ParentNode.removeChild(Node).
