Since we last spoke, I've learned most of the rules to handball.

I have also learned that, tonight on the Inside Track, I will be playing Willie Lane - Guitar Army of One (Cord-Art)
Philadelphia experimental guitarist who's worked with MV/EE, Tower Recordings and Sunburned Hand of the Man. Beautiful multi-tracked electric guitarscapes that will appeal to fans of Chris Forsyth, Ignatz, etc. It's going to smell great!

Sunday at 1pm, tune in to Hell or High Water which will feature a large portion of the complete discography of the famous 20s British dance band The Savoy Havana Band. Formed by American saxophonist Bert Ralton in London in 1921, the group released a slew of jazz 78s between 1922 and 1927 that incorporated both American early jazz traditions brought to the table by Ralton as well as some elements of British dance band music played in ballrooms and dance halls throughout England in the early 20th Century.

Keep on breaking on at 2pm for Broken Music, which will delve into the works of the seminal French experimental composer, academic and instrumental builder Christian Clozier. Clozier, member of the hallowed musique concrete collective Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM) and founder of the Institut international de musique électroacoustique de Bourges (IMEB), a performance and academic space dedicated to electroacoustic experimentation. Tune in from 2 until 3pm when selections of Clozier's compositions spanning three decades will explored.

Fair, local, and organic. This Sunday at 8pm on the Backyard BBQ,
we'll be talking with WAUMISS (Carrboro psych-electronic) and spinning their new record. Tune in from 8 to 9 PM. -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuWYzqfJuK8
PS. That's Clark from GOATTHROWUR.

U-S-A. U-S-A. U-S-A. On this week's SportsRap, the panel will discuss the Olympics, America's domination in the Olympics, Olympic basketball, probably Usain Bolt and more. In the spirit of NBC's broadcast, I've also decided that we're going to air this show on a tape delay. Kidding. Tune in at 8pm, all live all the time.

Then tune in Monday at 9pm on the Outside Track, check out
Glacial - On Jones Beach (Three Lobed)
Glacial is a trio of improvisers that includes guitarist Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), drummer Tony Buck (The Necks) and experimental bagpiper David Watson. Part drone, part avant-rock, part free jazz, and a strong contender for bagpipe album of the year.

August is the cruelest month,
JJ
