OK, my apologies :-).

John and Sergey,
Whoa -- email's a bad medium for emotional discussion and ambiguities get
blown out of proportion. Let's all take a little breath and realize that
1) that question wasn't as bad as a question we've probably asked once in
our lives and 2) that the acronym has always been rather tongue-in-cheek
(at least for me).
The acronym was maybe 5% of the message, the rest was a solution to a problem and a piece of advice on how to look for such solutions in the future.
I don't want to be where the environment isn't too kind to newbies.
Newbies will be the people training other newbies in our place. I was a
newbie once. In many subjects, I'm still a newbie. I'm sure John's
not a newbie in many things.
Oh well, thank you! Yeah, I'm good, I contribute to EFF ;-).
I'm sorry, John, if you got the wrong impression (at least as far as most
of us are concerned). For the record, with a little more time, Sergey's a
likable person. He's always got good points to make and they are usually
done with tact, so I think we can all kiss and make up. ;)
...and that's /why/ I contribure to EFF.
Maybe we all need to get out of the computer room more and step outside to
stop and (cliche warning) smell the roses. That's what I did a couple
days ago in a local city park. If Gale Norton gets her way, all our parks
would be commercialized resource extraction units for agribusiness, so we
should do this while they last (translate to a local icon if you don't
live in the US).
Seth
