RTFM here (first link in Google for "Linksys LNE100TX Linux"): http://www.linksys.com/support/support.asp?spid=25

Excerpt:
When asked to supply the name of the proper network driver during the RedHat installation, choose the *Tulip* driver from the list of drivers that appears on your screen. Continue with the installation as directed by RedHat, then configure your networking.

I'm installing on one machine of a small LAN using a Linksys LNE 100TX ethernet card. The kernel parameters donot include a specific driver for this card the way they do for so many others. I've assumed that enablng 10/100 ethernet support might just be enough to get me where I need to go, but a\fter reaching network configuration and selecting dhcp I'm unable to reach the network. Ifconfig shows no ip address for the card so pinging the card to check is precluded. I know the card is good because Mandrake will detect it and automatically configure it for dhcp. Is this a driver problem because I've erred with the kernel's network configuration somehow or is there some file editing that I need to do?
