Id rather not deal with a second init conversion. There were enough
potential problems swapping once. There are still (i hear) some spells
that havent had their init scripts converted yet. Of course thats just
my opinion from a user perspective.

I really like simpleinit, and I think that it works well with/for our
system. Have we found any bugs with it? Has anyone found any bugs? That
may have a lot to do with it not being updated for a year. Granted 2.6
may present new challenges for init systems, but I dont think they will
be insurmountable.

SystemServices seems interesting, some ideas are vaguely reminicent of
djb's daemontools. But it seems like just another wave to ride. I want
something that works and thats stable.

Also, simpleinit-msb is apparently GPL, which means we can fork it and
improve it if need be. If the need arises in the future I'd be happy to
assist in taking it under the smgl wing rather than dealing with yet
another init conversion and watching my boxes pathetically update and
lose all their services and customizations again.

just my thoughts.
