SystemServices is a nice idea, i dug out a link with some more info
about it [0] from my bookmarks. My main problem with it is that it's
supposed to be implemented in Python, which adds a multiple megabyte
interpreter to the boot process and makes for quite a big dependency.
Other than that it looks fine, though i haven't seen any code to really
judge it yet.
