I'm dumbfounded there.

Creating compile log /var/log/sorcery/compile/mailx-12.4.bz2

Spells that encountered problems:
---------------------------------
mailx (build)

I get this repeatedly. Note the doubled configure outputs. Does that
ring a bell for anyone? As the initial compile log the chroot ships
with doesn't contain these anomalies, I presume mailx was not built
with that set of spell versions that is now in the chroot (i.e. no
rebuild was done).

The failure of wget is less of a mystery, but still worries me: It
doesn't get proper $OPTS handed to configure. During rebuild, it gets
that:

$ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var \
--mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --enable-ipv6 \
--build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu

... where is --with-ssl? Where's anything, actually?

cast -c does that:

$ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var \
--mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --enable-ipv6 \
--enable-iri --enable-nls --with-ssl=openssl --build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu

Why is the whole deal missing from sorcery rebuild? I have
PROMPT_DELAY=0 for both, expected to get the unchanged current config.
This is the log from the configure stage (again, why the repeated
lines ... was created using `sorcery rebuild 2>&1 | tee log`).

Sorcery fails to provide the $OPTS in rebuild mode. For reference, the
BUILD file of wget didn't change since stable. What is different
between sorcery rebuild and cast -c to break it?

The failure should be about the signature file only ... but you do have
abort to yes by default on verification failure (?). You do
have /var/spool/sorcery/linux-3.0.tar.bz2.sign now, right?

Not sure about the timing. Perhaps the signature was not there yet.

Alrighty then,

Thomas
