Right now it's really just waiting for someone to actually go implement
another init. Make an alternate init spell and some init scripts it needs,
cast it, dispel simpleinit. Get a few of those available, get init
handling out of sorcery so it's not hardcoded to simpleinit, etc.


sorry mate, but i dont think it's going to be as simple as that. You
will still need to link all your applications against libupstart if u
want to be able to handle generating (and responding to?) events....
It's going to represent quite a major change.


Plenty of people talk about it, no one has done it yet. It's on my list
but behind other things (I've been putting in a *lot* of non-verbal time on
this mirroring thing the last week or two; when that is done I plan to dig
into the installer stuff next).
