remember also that linux has sub_depends. I don't have it working with
boolean expressions so you can't do something like 'udev sub depends
on linux > 2.6.15' but you can optionally depend on linux and then if
depends enabled then sub depends linux with latest maintenance or
something.

newer than the version in the current stable.
What about udev force_depending on linux and speculating that both will be in
the queue? Would that work?
