Problem solved guys. I have had the permissions problem before and just
always burn as root. Also I am using kernel 2.6.18. HOWEVER, NONE OF THIS
WAS THE PROBLEM.
I am ashamed to admit this, but in a way it is comical. I am afraid this
will
impugn my integrity as a SourceMage user. I WAS TRYING TO WRITE TO A DVD-R
DISK. I tried 3 different DVD-R's and none worked. Funny thing is, K3B was
telling me I had a DVD-R(W) in the drive and I finally noticed, changed to
CD-R and all was OK.
Thanks for your help anyway. I am,
Redfaced,
John Copeland in Powderly, Texas
