Wll that's a bummer. I'm pretty sure X is the only thing I upgraded and
when I restarted to see the pretty new 4.3, xmms never came up. Running
from the command line show a segfault with no extra info. I'm in the
process of cleaning out the jumble of multimedia libraries I have
installed and getting back to the basics. In the mean time I may grow to
like noatun, if only its playlist weren't so slow.

You could also try alsaplayer and zinf. :) As for the segfault, try
strace on it ('strace xmms') and that _might_ help. Also, 'ldd `which
xmms`' will tell you which libraries it is linked against (dynamically,
IIRC) and if any of them are missing. Have you tried recasting xmms?
Probably do the latter last, or first and if it fixes it, you're done. ;)
