Thanks, was about a month ago that I looked for info on Kudzu. I
vaguely remember this page but it is still very sparse on how it
works. I think last time I decided that the only way to figure it out
was to read the source. It also looks like it will need modifying to
suit SourceMage.

I reasoned that it looked like it needed a kernel with pretty much
everything so it could just fire off the modules for the specific
hardware. This meant it isn't ideal for a source based distro where
really we only want to compile support for the fixed hardware we have
and not everything "just in case".

Add them all together and you can see why I kept looking for another
solution ;-)
