Believe it or not, I *can* be diplomatic. I can be the poster boy for "butter
wouldn't melt in his mouth"if necessary, unfortunately this (problem of
freeloading) has been discussed before and it would be nice we developed a
standard practice.

If a *guru* stops making submissions, and an agreed upon amount of time
passes
then I would like for that person to lose p4 access privileges. They aren't
giving anything to our community, and are abusing a privilege they no longer
deserve.
Along with p4 access (and it's associated overheads that Tony is now
mentioning) comes a responsibility to either actively maintain some portion
of SMGL, to become a nomadic guru and fix any problems they come across, to
file bugs for spells they have *tested*, to constructively comment on bugs
already filed by other users, or in short, make *some* sort of contribution.
It would be nice if a Lead could then send a memo to these inactive users,
simply stating they have a week/month(?) to start contributing or their
access will be removed.
If they don't reply, they get removed.
If they reply in the affirmative, declaring their undying loyalty to us, but
end up not doing anything, they get removed.
If they spend a few minutes, close some quickfix bugs or update some spells
they use, they continue to have privileges.
This is a common sense, common decency issue for me, but I understand I set
myself high standards.
