On other writings: Jim Bones had a website, seedballs.com, now owned by a
group that markets seedballs made by disabled people,
It apeared in the early days of putting permaculture and natural
agriculture resources online. Luckily I found some Samaritan website that
has archived what appears to the the entirety of Jim's site. I will
download everything asap. to have my own copy. This is probably a valuable
source of information and graphics for the Permaculture community. There
are hundreds (thousands?) of sites like this, some started in the early
1990's. This is a section of one of my own early websites; there are still
useful active links. http://www.ibiblio.org/london/SoilWiki/ and

Photographs, like everything else we see, are fugitive illusions derived
from light. It causes mist to rise, wind to blow, and rain to water the
land. Scattering, sunlight makes the sky blue, and striking chlorophyll, it
makes green plants grow. Animals harvest its energy as blades and stems and
seeds. Gas, oil, coal, plastics, minerals, and metals, all are vibrating
particles of light. The atmosphere, the oceans, the very rocks of the
planet are the distillate dross of our star.
