I spent some time in Academgorodok, Siberia teaching permaculture and was
amazed at the bounty within the dachas on the edge of the city. Siberia has
a wide range of zones primarily 2 in the north and 4 in the south and coastal
regions. There is plenty of agriculture and gardening in all of those zones,
much as there is in Alaska.
